Answer: Here are compatible standards for each type of Timing belt:
• MXL, XL, L and H type: JIS standard and ISO standard
• T type : DIN standard from Germany
• S type: MITSUBOSHI BELTING and BANDO CHEMICAL standard
• P and UP type: TSUBAKIMOTO CHAIN standard

Question: How can I select Idler with teeth to align with Timing belt?

Answer: Please select Idler with teeth in the same profile as Timing belt (Belt shape)

Answer: It indicates the number of teeth.
Model no. is arranged as following:

Question: What is PLD?

Answer: PLD is distance between pitch line and root of teeth for belt with teeth.
It indicates the difference between distance of Pulley and pitch diameter (PD) and teeth end diameter along the radius axis.
Obtained by PLD＝ (PD－OD) /2

Question: Can I converse torque into required transmission power?

Answer: Use the following formula for conversion:
Tq=tq×Ks
Pd=Tq×n/9550
Tq : designed torque (N・m) tq : transmission torque (N・m) n : rotation speed (rpm) Ks : Overload Factor Pd : required transmission power (kW)

Question: How can I calculate the transmission power in speed reducer unit?

Answer: Please calculate the driving force with speed reducer unit.
For example, if speed reducer decrease speed into 1/2 times, power transmission will be 2 times.

Question: Which length is the belt circumference of Timing belt?

Answer: Length of inner core of Timing belt.

Question: What is the number displayed in Belt No. indicates?

Answer: Belt circumference.

Question: What is service life span of Timing belt?

Answer: Life span is depending on operating condition (designed driving force, speed of pulley, etc.) so it cannot identify as exactly number.

Shaft hole was bored to be the minimum H hole.

Answer: We recommend for dimension tolerance g6.

Question: How can I fix noisy timing belt? Should I apply grease or lubricating spray to suppress it?
