A turntable is a work bench that assists work by rotating a workpiece during work. Use cases include mold repair and parts assembly in factories, and to assist work in laboratories and food processing sites, etc. Materials include steel or resin, and resin in particular can be used where hygiene is a concern, such as in food processing. A feature of turntables is that they can move workpieces to a position that is convenient for the worker. Some have a sturdy internal structure that can be easily disassembled and cleaned. Some have a rubber mat on the top to allow use without damaging the workpiece, while others have a stopper to easily stop at the location of work. There are also stretch wrapping turntables which are used to wrap film on palletized goods.
