· For small cutting depths with 8-corner cutting (2.5 mm), since 8 corners can be used, the corner cost can be reduced. The number of available corners for use will vary according to the cutting depth involved.
· Since the octagonal insert type with its tough tip shape resembles a round die, the tip strength has been enhanced to provide stable machining.
· Machining for a multitude of different applications is supported. Plane, shoulder cutting, grooving, sinking, deep grooving, deep shoulder cutting, chamfering, and hole enlarging are possible.
