The Heat Stroke Index (WBGT) is an international standard defined by ISO7243/JIS Z 8504, used to assess the level of heat stress experienced by people in hot environments, including the risk of heat stroke.
This product, the Heat Stroke Index Monitor AD-5689 (Miharimbo Mini), is a compact and portable device that allows you to check both the heat stroke risk level and the heat stroke index.
To make the heat stroke index displayed by this product as close as possible to the WBGT value (heat stroke index) defined by JIS and ISO using a black globe, the wet-bulb temperature is calculated from temperature and humidity, and the heat stroke index is calculated from temperature and humidity using a proprietary calculation algorithm.
This product displays the heat stroke risk level and sets alarm values in accordance with the "Guidelines for Heat Stroke Prevention in Daily Life" established by the Japanese Society of Biometeorology.
When the heat stroke index reaches 28°C or 31°C, the alarm is automatically activated.
The alarm is notified by a buzzer sound and LED lamp.
Displays the heat stroke index risk level (four levels: Caution, Warning, Severe Warning, Danger).
Displays the heat risk level of the hot environment in four stages (in Japanese).
Can be used in three ways: wall-mounted, tabletop, or with a strap.

- (2) Sudden temperature changes may cause condensation inside the device.
- (3) Using it in areas with high humidity or a lot of dust may cause malfunction.
- (4) Using it in places with strong magnetic fields or electric fields may affect this product. Avoid using these products in areas that are like those described above.
- (5) To prevent danger, avoid using it in areas where flammable gases are present.
- (6) Please use this product only indoors or outdoors in shaded areas.
- (7) If the temperature/humidity sensor is used in poor environments with dust, tobacco smoke, or various gases, impurities or dirt may adhere to the sensor surface, causing the sensor to deteriorate in a short period of time, which may result in loss of accuracy.

When does the alarm sound in Auto Mode?
- In Auto Mode, the alarm will sound when the heatstroke index reaches Severe Warning (28°C–30°C) or Danger (31°C and above).
