External appearance *The actual product may differ from that shown in the image.

Fig. 1 (If the handle remains closed and cannot be opened, insert a screwdriver or similar into the handle.)
Precautions
- 1. Manual crimp tools cannot make fine adjustments of crimp height, so if the electrical wire you use is different from the specified wire, even if it is compatible with the contact, it may not be compatible with the tools.
- 2. Do not crimp other than the compatible contact or cable.
- 3. Do not subject the tool to physical impact or drop.
- 4. Do not attempt to release the movable handle before completing full compression as this may damage the tool. Handle will release after completion of the full compression. The handle cannot be opened before automatic release of the ratchet.
- 5. Do not apply excessive compression on the handles after full compression. Occasionally the movable handle may remain closed after the full compression. Insert a screwdriver (or similar tool) as shown in Fig. 1 to release it. Applying excessive compression can lead to play in the hand tool. With hand tools with play, normal compression cannot be obtained.
- 6. Assure that the crimped condition of the the crimped terminal is within specification when you start working.
Maintenance and Inspection
Routine maintenance
- 1. Upon completion of work, wipe the tool with a soft cloth to remove any stains or foreign particles, close the handle to ensure no foreign particles enter the crimper and anvil areas, and store in a dry area.
- 2. When opening/closing the handle, make sure that the anvil slides smoothly without any interference.
Routine maintenance
Maintenance is performed to evaluate if the condition and performance of the tool is appropriate.
Tool Repair
If there is a tool defect and it requires repairs, do not disassemble the tool. Contact us describing the exact nature of the problem. Please be aware in advance that depending on its condition, in some cases the tool may NOT be repairable.
