It has a tip that is shaped so as to be difficult to damage while discharging chips with high efficiency, allowing everything from positioning
(= centering) through to beveling to be achieved with just the one unit.
It has a sharp cutting edge that prevents the built-up edge that's unique to aluminum.
The tip core thickness is roughly 0.1D (1/10th blade diameter) so it cannot be used for V-groove processing.
