MISUMI India Leads CSR-led 'Empower Skill' Initiative at Government Polytechnic College, Manesar

MISUMI India is advancing technical education infrastructure in Haryana through its CSR-led Empower Skill initiative at Government Polytechnic College, Manesar. The company is driving the project with full funding and strategic direction, supported by the Haryana Government and implementation coordination from BharatCares.

The initiative introduces upgrades aimed at strengthening vocational training capacity for more than 2,000 students and faculty members. Senior government officials and MISUMI India leadership were present at the inauguration ceremony, including:

  • Mr. Vineet Garg (IAS), Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education, Haryana
  • Mr. Prabhjot Singh (IAS), Director General, Technical Education, Haryana
  • Dr. Mahaveer Singh (IAS), Special Secretary, Technical Education
  • Mr. Satoshi Morishima, Managing Director, MISUMI India
  • Mr. Kashish Malhotra, Director - Marketing, MISUMI India

Project Highlights

Under MISUMI India's CSR programme, the initiative strengthens several core facilities on campus:

  • Renovation of the Placement and Entrepreneurship Cell
  • Installation of advanced training equipment across Mechanical, Electronics, and Communication laboratories
  • Upgrades to drinking water and sanitation infrastructure
  • The interventions aim to create an environment aligned with current industry standards, offering students improved access to hands-on, skill-oriented training.

BharatCares, the social impact arm of CSRBOX Group, supported MISUMI India by managing ground-level coordination and ensuring timely execution of project activities.

Industry-Academia Alignment

MISUMI India states that the Empower Skill initiative is part of its ongoing CSR focus on strengthening India's technical talent pipeline. The company continues to invest in programmes that support employability, industry-aligned training, and the broader development of the country's manufacturing ecosystem.

Further CSR-led education and skill-building interventions are planned for rollout in the coming years.
